In the days after the funeral, there are some final details that we’ll help you handle.

Life Insurance
We realize there are those who have never filed a claim for death benefits. If you have questions, we’ll be glad to help you prepare the necessary forms.

Social Security & Veterans’ Benefits
We’ll notify the local Social Security Administration that death has occurred. Through this Administration, numerous benefits such as Medicare and survivors’ benefits may be available to you. For additional information, consult your local Social Security office.

If the deceased was a veteran, you may also qualify for benefits. You may talk with a member of our staff about the guidelines used to determine the available benefits. These can include: a flag, a grave marker, and in some cases, an allowance toward funeral expenses.

Death Certificates
It’s our responsibility to see that the death certificate is filed with the local registrar of vital statistics. We can obtain copies on your behalf if you need them. Death certificates can be confusing because of the filing procedure and the various types of certificate copies required by different agencies. However, we’ll be happy to help you through this necessary process.

Payment Terms - We realize each family has different financial circumstances. During your appointment, we’ll give you information about our various payment plans, and we’ll discuss your options.
