A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca, WI on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 1:00
PM with Reverend Dr. Charles Tews – Trinity Lutheran
Church, officiating. Interment will be in the
Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Waupaca. A visitation
will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on
Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers
a memorial has been established for Cancer Research
in the name of Susan H. Cartwright. The Holly
Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family
with arrangements.

Waupaca, WI
Age 60 – died on Friday, July 2, 2010 at
Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point,
WI after a long struggle against cancer. She was
born on September 22, 1949 in Dodgeville, WI, the
daughter of Joyce and Phillip Rath, Sr.
Susan is survived by her children, Theresa
Janicki and Joseph Cartwright, Sr, both of
Waupaca, grandchildren, Joseph Cartwright, Jr and
Natalie Cartwright, her mother, Joyce Rath
(Significant other: Ray Hansen) of Waupaca,
brothers and sisters: Dan (Suzanne) Rath of
Weyauwega, Judy (Jim) Hahn of Tennessee, Terry
Rath of Waupaca, Marianne (Jim) Nusz of Waupaca,
June (Mike) Goggins of Waupaca, and Phillip Rath,
Jr of Nebraska. She is further survived by many
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She
was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry
Cartwright, her father, and a brother, Ron
Rath.
Over a number of years Susan had been employed as
a waitress at various Waupaca area restaurants.
She had also worked for a while in the Deli
department of the Pick’n Save grocery store in
Waupaca. Susan loved working in her garden and she
took pride in spoiling her grandchildren. Susan
was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in
Waupaca.
