Services: First Lutheran Church-Poy Sippi W2314 Prospect Street P.O. Box 250 Poy Sippi, WI 920-987-5151   A funeral service will be held at the First Lutheran
Church in Poy Sippi on Monday, July 19, 2010 at
11:00 AM, with the Reverend David Sielaff,
officiating. A visitation will be held at the Holly
Funeral Home in Poy Sippi on Sunday, July 18, 2010
from 3:00 – 7:00 PM, and at the church on Monday
morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Interment will be at
a later date in the Poy Sippi Cemetery. The Holly
Funeral Home of Poy Sippi, WI is assisting the
family with arrangements.

Shirley M. Huerth
Pine River, WI
Age 74 – died on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her
residence surrounded by her loving family. She was
born on July 4, 1936 in Pittsburgh, KS, the
daughter of George and LaVina (Hughes) Shreve. She
married Vilas Huerth on January 24, 1959 in
Rockford, IL.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Vilas,
children; Christine (Kelly) Simon of Wild Rose,
George (Kimberly) Huerth of Poy Sippi, Suzanne
Krueger (Special Friend; Dan Schumacher) of
Berlin, Dennis (Diane) Huerth of Poy Sippi, Joey
(Jalaine) Huerth of Poy Sippi, and Carol (Albert)
Johannes of Berlin. Thirteen grandchildren and
nine great grandchildren also survive along with
four sisters; Dorothy Fiez and Annabelle Daily of
Rockford, IL, Barb Tindell of Phoenix, AZ, and
Wilma (Corky) Wilkening of Pittsburgh, KS, and
three brothers; Jerry (Mary) Shreve, Ronald
Shreve, and Donald (Margie) Shreve, all from
Rockford, IL. She is further survived by numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She
was preceded in death by her parents, sisters;
Tina, Sally, LaVonne, and a brother; Charles.
She had been employed at Milsco (formerly
Swenson’s) in Redgranite for over 20 years. She
was currently working as a doughnut maker at J&T’s
Family Foods in Berlin. She courageously continued
to work until about two weeks prior to her death.
She and Vilas had also operated a Dairy Farm in
the West Bloomfield area from 1962 until 1997.
Some of her interests included watching murder
mysteries and reading mystery novels. She loved
camping with her family and all the family
holidays. She was an avid Green Bay Packer and
Chicago Cub fan. At the time she was diagnosed
with cancer, a dog mysteriously showed up at their
home. They named the dog “Tramp”, and from that
point on Shirley and Tramp were the closest of
companions.
A funeral service will be held at the First
Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi on Monday, July 19,
2010 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend David Sielaff,

18, 2010 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM, and at the church on
Monday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Interment
