A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at
11A.M. at the St. James Catholic Church in Amherst.

Theresa K. Churas age 88 of Amherst, passed away
on Monday July 19, 2010. Theresa was born on March
2, 1922, the daughter of Simon and Helen
(Kenowski) Landowski. Theresa married the late
Lewis Churas on August 10, 1946.
Theresa is survived by four sons Michael (Sandra)
Churas of Kenosha, Eugene (Carol) Churas of Eau
Claire, Larry (Susan) Churas of Plover, and
Jeffrey (Heidi) Churas of Wisconsin Rapids; one
daughter Emily Berg of Nixa, MO; eight
grandchildren Andrea Churas, Stephanie (Stephen)
Krezinski, Chris (Kerrin) Churas, Greg (Betsy)
Churas, Lisa (Matt) Werner, Jenny Churas (Zach),
Matt (Jenny) Churas, and Brian Churas; and four
great grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews
other relatives and friends.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband
Lewis Churas, her parents Simon and Helen
Landowski; one grandson Simon; four brothers
Casimer, Walter, Thedore, and Frank Landowski;
five sisters Johanna Dombrowski, Hattie
Dombrowski, Angeline Landowski, Regina Maves, and
Matilda Kay Simpson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday
at 11A.M. at the St. James Catholic Church in
Amherst. Father Bob Pedretti will officiate, with
burial to follow in the St. James Catholic
Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from
4 until 8 P.M. with a rosary service at 7:30 P.M
at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, and
again at the church on Friday from 10 A.M. until
the time of the Mass at 11 A.M.
