Dennis Lee Bechard

February 9, 1942 - February 12, 2022

The Lord called Dennis Lee Bechard to his eternal home on Saturday, February 12,2022 after a lengthy, courageous battle with Cancer. Dennie was born to Leon and Bernice Bechard in Wild Rose, Wi. On February 9,1942 and was proud to recently celebrate his milestone 80th birthday. Dennie married Lois (Glocke) on May 27,1961 in the same church where they first met. The couple recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Dennie was a salesman at heart who was very charismatic and had a special way of making people feel welcome. After retirement, Dennie drove school bus and loved being with the children and had many stories to tell. Dennie loved jokes and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping during his earlier years, riding his scooter with friends, playing cards, cribbage, and Hand and Foot. Dennie is survived by his wife, Lois, sons, Scott (Holly Wasrud) and Steve (Lisa); grandchildren Katelyn (Zach) Howen, Amanda (Craig) Freitag , Shanleigh Bechard, Braiden (Jessy) Bechard, Aaron (Kelly) Bechard, Alaina Bechard, and Adam Bechard; great granddaughters Norah and Ruby Howen, Addison Bechard and Margot Bechard; Brother, Tom (Sue) Bechard; sisters, Connie (John) Lehman, and Debbie Bechard; Sisters-in-law, Bev Glocke, Meriel (Kevin) Miller; Brothers-in-law, John Glocke, and Roger (Marcia) Glocke and Special friend Martha Bechard. Dennie was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law Douglas and Marlon Glocke The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Theda Care Hospice team, especially Krissy, Breann, and Sara. As well as the staff at Theda Care Waupaca Hospital for all their help, patience, kindness, and care during Dennie’s stay there. Sincere appreciation for all of the visits from Pastors Andy and Erin from Trinity Lutheran Church as well as Ken and Holly, who spent many hours with Dennie during difficult times. A private memorial service will be held in celebration of Dennie’s life. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
