Gertrude L. Waller

Gertrude L. Waller, age 93, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 27th, 2022 at Park Vista Legacy in Waupaca. She was born in Fremont, WI on October 6, 1928, a daughter of the late Paul and Irene (Schmidt) Schiesser. Gert married Donald Waller on October 18, 1947 in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1995. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Gert worked at Zwicker Knitting Mill for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling. Gert loved spending time with her family and friends. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. Gert loved to laugh and a zest to just live life to its fullest. Survivors include her Children: Gale (Kris) Waller, Waupaca, WI; Shirley Carlson, Loyal, WI; Beverly (Jeff) Olson, Waupaca, WI; Daughter-in-law: Cindy Waller-Sigl, Florida; Nine Grandchildren; Seventeen Great Grandchildren; Three Great Great Grandchildren and a Brother: Leonard (Caroline) Guthu, Waupaca, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father - Benjamin Guthu, husband - Donald, son - Richard, grandson - Erik, son-in-law - Dan Carlson Sr. and eight siblings. A Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, with Rev. Ben Kempfert, officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca at a later date. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church.
