June 23, 1928 - December 6, 2020
Morris Neuville, age 92 went to heaven on Sunday, December 6th 2020 following a brief illness. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, friend and leader. Here are a few things that his family would want you to know about him, if you don’t already. • Dad was the best father anyone could ever wish for and gave to a fault. You always, ALWAYS, knew he was there for you • Dad loved our mom, Dallas, with all of his being. He lovingly cared for her in her last years, visiting with her every day in the nursing home for hours and providing love and comfort. What an example he set for us on what unconditional love looks like. • He loved the Lord with all of his heart. His compassion for people was driven by his faith in Jesus, and his testimony to others no doubt saved countless souls. • Dad was an executive and business owner who led as a servant leader first. Many of us were taught by him that one should lead and treat the people who count on you as family, loving them and helping them succeed. That’s what builds trust and loyalty. • Dad was a fun person! His sly sense of humor and ability to make people smile was awesome! • Dad loved reading the newspaper and watching news on television. He kept his mind young by learning how to navigate technology. We used Zoom to videoconference with him often as a family. He had an Alexa Show that he used to have drop in video calls with all of us as well. Technology has been a gift to us as a family during Covid. • Dad’s greatest attribute was his genuine kindness. Kindness is defined as “loaning someone your strength instead of reminding them of their weakness.” His children and their families ask that in his memory, you pay this forward when the opportunity presents itself. Buy a meal for someone in need; Encourage someone with a kind word; Drop some money in a red kettle-Dad loved the Salvation Army and its mission; Bring a meal to Bethany home for the incredible heroes taking care of our most frail every day; Take time to listen; Share Jesus with someone and how he has changed your life. You will never know the impact of one act of kindness, no matter how small. More about Dads life: Dad was born on June 23, 1928 in Brussels, Wi. He was the second child of nine, and the oldest son. He graduated from high school at age 15 and graduated from St. Norbert College when he was 19, earning dual degrees in Chemistry and Education. Dad was offered two jobs after graduation—as a chemistry teacher in Minnesota or a chemist at a company in Marinette Wisconsin. He took the job at Ansul Chemical Company and remained there for his entire professional career, moving from chemist to President of the Company. He retired from Ansul at the age of 49, and purchased Neuville Motors in Waupaca. He also opened a clothing store, The Junction, where he sold Levi’s and other casual clothing. Dad really enjoyed running these businesses, and Neuville Motors is now a long-standing family business in the community of Waupaca. The most important thing Dad did was meet a young woman from Minnesota, and fall in love. He and our mother Dallas married May 28, 1949, and as they say, the rest is history. Mom and Dad had four children in fast succession—Tom, Karen, Tim and Debbie. Eight years later, Jenny came along, and surprise - six years later, Jeff was welcomed into the family. Dad always enjoyed having his kids around, and as our families grew, so did the number of spouses, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad said goodbye to Dallas three years ago and is survived by his six children: Tom (Marilynn) Neuville, Karen (Bill) Bretch, Tim (Joy) Neuville, Debbie (Jim) Bouché, Jenny (Paul) Harrison and Jeff (Becky) Neuville. He also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren! In lieu of any gifts or flowers, Dad would want you to “pay it forward” to someone in need. We ask that you do so in memory of Morris. Dad, we love you and we rejoice that you are now with the Lord, and Mom, to celebrate this Christmas. The Neuville family thanks the wonderful staff at Bethany Home for the loving care they have provided. A Private Family Funeral Service is being held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 1:00 PM. This service will be available to view live through Zoom on Tuesday at 1:00 PM (CST). Morris’ Funeral Service will be recorded and available to view at www.hollyfuneralhome.com under his obituary.
