Dear John and Zachary, I love Mertz and will miss her hugs and her laughter as I know you will. These are thoughts of her that came to me this morning. She enjoyed dressing in style. Remember her trips to Chicago and New York to purchase clothing for her boutiques? For her self she chose attractive second hand clothing that looked like it was off the racks of New York's finest shops. She lived in Wild Rose WI and pursued interests in ballet and fashion. On the other hand, she camped with both of you and Jacob at Pennisula State Park; a perfect example of how a women can be true to herself and to her family. When Jacob died she suffered greatly but took comfort in the peace Jacob had found in death. Her faith in a loving God, carried her though his tragic death. My heart goes out to both of you who will bear the weight of the loss we all feel. With all my love and prayers for healing, Janet I remember seeing her Christmas tree full of angels.
