JoAnn E. Haase

JOANN E. HAASE POY SIPPI, WISCONSIN Age 80, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin, WI. She was born November 18, 1935 in Michigan; daughter of George and Edith (Trimble) Masten and was Baptized into the body of Jesus Christ on February 6, 1955. On February 6, 1954, JoAnn married LaVerne Haase at Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod in Poy Sippi and together they shared 61 years of marriage before his passing on September 11, 2015. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to not only her own family, but to many others who also called her “Grandma” and she opened her home to them throughout the years. Whenever you needed anything, JoAnn was always there with a helping hand. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends. JoAnn is survived by: Children: Marlene Hobbs of Berlin, WI Debra (Randall) Allen of Astor, FL Richard (Betty) Haase of Tustin, WI Jeff (Kelly) Haase of Poy Sippi, WI Grandchildren: Jason (fiancée, Jessica) Reilly of New Richmond, WI Sara (Brian) Resop of Berlin, WI Rachel Haase of Oshkosh, WI Bradley (Lakesha) Haase of Oshkosh, WI Allison Haase of Berlin, WI Ashley Allen who is a world traveler Ronnie Haase of Berlin, WI James Haase of Wild Rose, WI Ten Great-Grandchildren Sisters: Ricki (Mark) Schubert of Berlin, WI Donna Jones of Fond du Lac, WI Sisters-in-law: Pat Masten of Longview, TX Janet Hahn of Fremont, WI Elaine Cartwright of Arkansas Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Masten; her husband, LaVerne Haase; a daughter, Lisa Haase; a son-in-law, Lynn Hobbs; and eight siblings, Richard Masten, an infant sister, Fay Hope, Virginia Hanneman, George Masten, Jr., Georgia Behnke, Larry Masten, Mary Lundberg, and Gladys Slizewski. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod in Poy Sippi, WI. Reverend Mark Meier, Sr. officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, Jan. 7th, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and again on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Poy Sippi Cemetery following the service on Friday. The Holly Funeral Home of Poy Sippi is assisting the family with arrangements. We look forward to seeing JoAnn with Christ in the Resurrection of all flesh.
