Sidney A. Sigwart

Sidney Aaron Sigwart, 25, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 with his girlfriend Meghann Lankford and his loving family by his bedside in the ICU at North Suburban Medical Center in Denver, CO. Sid was being treated for blood clots in his lungs and although we don’t know the exact cause, a dislodged clot appears to have stopped his breathing and heart while sleeping. He was revived by paramedics and rushed to the hospital. A CT scan showed swelling in his brain caused by oxygen deprivation and further results from an EEG test showed a flat level of electrical activity in his brain. Sidney was born in Waupaca, Wisconsin and grew up with a large, blended and extended family. After the passing of his beloved mother Vicky Lynn (Sigwart) Boucher when he was six years old, Sid was adopted by his stepfather, Michael Robert Boucher. Growing up in Waupaca surrounded by family and many friends, Sidney was amazingly smart and very driven. Even at a young age he loved the competition of playing chess and was active in the youth group at Community First Church. He also had a passion for building things and was incredibly talented at making beautiful wooden pens on his lathe and wood working machines. Sidney is survived by his daughter Mia Dunaj who he loved very much, his girlfriend Meghann Lankford, his adoptive father Michael R. Boucher and biological father Donavan D. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews that he adored, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Vicky Lynn (Sigwart) Boucher of Waupaca, WI; paternal grandfather Dallas Ray Lane of High Point, NC; paternal grandmother Grace Arlene (Nagreen) Lane of Jensen Beach, FL; maternal grandfather Robert James Sigwart of Waupaca, WI and maternal grandmother Sandra Lee Sigwart of Waupaca, WI; uncles David Ray Lane of Appleton, WI, Randy Schaffer of Appleton, WI and Theodore L. Mitchell of Menasha, WI. Funeral services for Sidney will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the A.J. Holly & Sons Funeral Home, 526 South Main Street, Waupaca, WI 54981, with Rev. Dione Miller officiating. Friends may visit the family from 1 pm until the time of services. He will be forever missed by his family and close friends.
