Therese A. Glisczinski

Therese A. Glisczinski, age 82 of Amherst, WI passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Therese was born on March 30, 1942; daughter of the late Adolph and Elizabeth (Omernik) Kruzicki in Stevens Point, WI. She married Robert Glisczinski on April 20, 1963 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, WI. As an infant, she survived a fire at the family farm. Therese owned Terry’s Specialty Dresses, doing alterations on bridal gowns and formal dresses. She also enjoyed making jewelry. In 2008, she survived Stage 3 Colon Cancer. Therese and Bob lost their home in 2009 due to a fire, which they rebuilt. Therese loved walks in her yard and woods, feeding her birds and her beloved pets. She loved her kids and grandkids and was passionate about her bible studies. Therese enjoyed putting puzzles together and listening to 50’s, 60’s, classical and doo-wop music. Therese is survived by her husband Robert Glisczinski of Amherst, WI; children Randall (Denise) Glisczinski of Amherst, WI; Robert M. (Imelda) Glisczinski of Amherst, WI; Mary (Paul) Ehr of New Munster, WI; Traci (fiancé James Cole) Parrott of Amherst, WI; grandchildren Morgan (fiancé Rush Hickthier), Becca, Jackson Glisczinski, Benjamin, Gerald, Robert, Daniel, Matthew Ehr, great-grandchildren Harper Hickthier, step-grandchildren Adam (Isabel) Parrott, Samuel (Nicole) Parrott, Julia Peterson, step-great grandchildren Zakkary Robbins, Piper (Julia) Peterson, Audrey Parrott, Benjamin (Sam) Parrott, sister Elizabeth Osowski, brother Michael Kruzicki, sister-in-law Audrey Kruzicki, also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Therese was preceded in death by her parents, infant son David, grandson Matthew Busse, nephew Duane Wrycha, son-in-law Stephen Parrott, sisters and brothers-in-law Lillian & Patrick Hopkins, Dorothy & Benedict Kostuch, Virginia & Ervin Turzinski, Stanley Osowski, Joann & Eugene Mallek. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Woodlands Church in Plover. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service at the Church. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Therese Glisczinski’s name. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
