Adeline Klein's Obituary
Adeline Elaine Klein, age 84, of King, WI, passed away Sunday, February 25th, 2007 at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King due to complications of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Manitowoc, WI the daughter of Albert and Esther (Zastrow) Ellestad. Adeline graduated from Valders High School in 1940. On April 13, 1940 she married Leonard Matthew Klein. She worked at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton, WI for many years, caring for newborn babies. After retirement, they moved to Townsend, WI, in March 1984, to a beautiful setting in the north woods. In May 1998, they moved to the Wisconsin Veterans Home. Adeline's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by Leonard, her devoted husband of 66 years; Five Sons: James (Nancy) Klein, Queen Creek, AZ; Leroy (Karen) Klein, Brussels, WI; Richard (Dee) Klein, Lake Villa, IL; Thomas (Mary) Klein, Appleton, WI; Gerald (Michele) Klein, Queen Creek, AZ; Two Daughters: Louise (Dennis) Raube, Lindenhurst, IL; Gail (Keith) Schommer, Chilton, WI; 19 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Three Brothers: Eldred (Marianne) Ellestad; Donald (Coola) Ellestad; Everett (Barbro) Ellestad; Three Sisters: Carol Schroeder; Imogene (Richard) Hermann; Jayette (Tom) Blom/Doner and a Sister-in-law: Doris Ellestad.
Adeline is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edmund Ellestad. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 1st, 2007 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home - Main Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Valders West Cemetery at a later date. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday at the Main Chapel from 12 Noon until the time of the service. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements. Adeline's family wishes to thank the staff at the Wisconsinn Veterans Home and the ThedaCare Hospice staff, for their diligent care and support.
