Albert Edgren's Obituary
Albert A. Edgren, age 76, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 at the Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born in Goodman, WI on August 13, 1931, the son of George and Martha (Zechel) Edgren. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1950 with his twin brother, Robert. Albert served in the United States Air Force from January of 1951 until March of 1955 during the Korean War. He married Dixie Merryfield on May 5, 1956 in Madison. Albert was a retired member of the Carpenter Local #314. He worked for Findorff Builders of Madison, Marshall Erdman Builders of Madison, and Gilbert Builders of Madison. Albert was a partner of Edgren Brothers Construction of Wild Rose. He loved spending time with his family and friends on his 40 acres of land, was an avid hunter, and loved to listen to country music. He is survived by Wife: Dixie Edgren, Wild Rose, WI; Children: David (Lori) Edgren, Gwinn, MI; Wayne (Vicki) Edgren, De Forest, WI; Kenneth (Patti) Edgren, Almond, WI; James (Elaine) Edgren, Madison, WI; Karen Hughes, Blanchardville, WI; Jean (Keith) Haerle, Brooklyn, WI; Eighteen Grandchildren; Brothers: George (Irene) Edgren, Jr, Wild Rose, WI; Gerald (Nancy) Edgren, Plainfield, WI; Rodger (Pat) Edgren, Marshall, WI; Sisters: Joan (Bill) Kalrath, Fall River, WI; Betty Ann (Phil) Ingwell, Sun Prairie, WI; Nancy (John) Hillard, Madison, WI; Sister-in-law: Joan Edgren, Oregon, WI; Brother-in-law: Dan (Sharon) Merryfield, Wild Rose, WI He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his Parents; Sisters: Virginia and Marjorie Edgren, Loretta Lentz-Engel; and a twin brother, Robert. A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Wild Rose United Methodist Church in Wild Rose with Reverend Yul Kwon officiating. Interment will be in the Wild Rose Union Cemetery in the Town of Wautoma, Waushara County. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of the service. A memorial has been established.
