Alex *Alky* Wojtech's Obituary
Alex Alky Wojtech, age 85, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Friday, June 1st, 2007 in Waupaca. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 19, 1921, the son of Frank and Julia (Niva) Wojtech. Alky was a good son, good husband, good father, and a good grandfather. A funny, sweet, and gentle man who always put family and friends before self. Dad was always concerned about how everyone was doing and how could he help. In his day he was a good athlete and was a boxing champion in high school. Alky and Lucille Ferrara grew up in Chicago together and were married after high school on October 17, 1942. They have been in Love and married for 64 years. Alky was diagnosed with colon cancer when he was 60 years old and given 2 weeks to live. As a fighter, he stretched that into 25 plus years and had a wonderful time living life. He did not have a lot of money, but he had a rich life. Florida in the winter and Waupaca in the summer, mix that in with a loving family and he felt truly blessed. He will be missed and always loved by his family and friends. Alky is survived by Wife: Lucille Wojtech, Waupaca; Children: James (Diane) Wojtech, Marion; Vince (Jan) Wojtech, Waupaca; Linda (Steve) Joy, Brookfield; Tom Wojtech, Salina, KS; Grandchildren: Sara Wojtech; Valerie, Erika, & James Wojtech; Heidi (Mike) David; Holly (Shan) Lee; Great Grandchildren: Abigail & Alex David; Ryan Lee; Sisters: Till Dodson, Lawrence, KS; Dorothy (Dennis) Mader, Houghton, MI; Brother: George (Terry) Wojtech, Chicago, IL. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Alexander was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Frank & James.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Wisconsin Memorial Park - Chapel of the Chimes in Brookfield. A visitation will be held at the chapel on Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
