Alice Bleskey's Obituary
Alice E. Bleskey, age 95, of Stevens Point, formerly of Amherst, passed away on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. Alice was born in the Town of Lanark, Portage Co., WI., on January 18, 1910, a daughter of Frederick and Eliza (Holman) Hebblewhite. She married August Bleskey on June 20, 1928 in Stevens Point. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1983. Alice was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, where she had been a member of the Altar Society. She was an avid gardener. Alice loved reading, sewing, crotcheting and attending her granchildrens' sporting events. She is survived by 6 Children: James (Charlotte) Bleskey, Wautoma, WI.; Martin (Janith) Bleskey, Concord, CA.; Richard Bleskey, Corona, CA.; Jane Madsen, Mauston, WI.; Ruth (Clayton) Allen, Waupaca, WI.; David (Kathy) Bleskey, Amherst, WI.. 24 Grandchildren; 43 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - August, 1 brother - Ed and three sisters - Mary, Ellen and Gladys, 2 daughters-in-law - Colleen Bleskey and Lucille Bleskey, and a son-in-law - Adrian (Bill) Madsen. Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 26th, with Father Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in the St. James Catholic Cemetery in Amherst. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 until 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with a Rosary Service to be held at 7:30 PM. Visitation also on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. James Catholic Church.
