Alice Kirsling's Obituary
Alice C. Kirsling, age 91, of Amherst, WI, passed away Friday, April 3rd, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Amherst Jct., WI on November 4, 1917, the daughter of Louis and Hattie (Piotrowski) Lubecke. Alice married John Kirsling on July 16, 1941 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church - Fancher. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2006. She was an avid gardner and painter. Alice also loved to sew and make quilts. After their retirement, Alice and John loved to care for their grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by Sons: Richard (Elaine) Kirsling, Amherst, WI; Alan (Cathy) Kirsling, Waupaca, WI; Daughter: Rita Krembs, Steger, IL; Grandsons: James Kremb, Simi Valley, CA; Jon (Tammy) Kirsling, Amherst, WI; Jason (Jenny) Kirsling, Amherst, WI; Great Grandchildren: Landry, Alyssa, Adam, Chloe, Jacob, and Harlee. Alice is further survived by two brothers, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and nine brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with Father Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Amherst. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Alice's name.
