Alice Mae Soper's Obituary
Alice Mae Soper, age 87, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose. She was born in Edson, WI on July 2, 1931, the daughter of the late Thomas and Linda (Licht) Moore. After high school Alice moved to Milwaukee where she met the love of her life, Francis Soper. Alice married Francis on April 2, 1951 in Waukegan, IL. Together they raised 6 beautiful children.
Alice was employed as a factory worker at Continental Can Company in Milwaukee until early retirement at which time Alice and her children John and Dawn moved to their lake home on Long Lake. In 1984, upon Francis' retirement from the U.S. Postal service, he moved to join them. In 1989 they sold their Long Lake home and started wintering at Fun-n-Sun Retirement Resort in Texas for the next 30 years. Due to Alice's health they moved back to Saxeville area. Most recently, they moved to Rosemore Village until the time of her death.
Survivors include her Husband: Francis Soper, Wild Rose, WI; Children: Rita (Ron) Beck, Saxeville, WI; Dennis Soper, Milwaukee, WI; Debby (Michael) Tryniszewski, Cudahy, WI; Diane (Tom) Dzibinski, Milwaukee, WI; John (Becky) Soper, Saxeville, WI; Dawn (Chuck) Fuller, Mukwonago, WI; 15 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Ron (Helen) Moore; Tom (Karen) Moore; Don (Pat) Moore; Donna (Gene) Hagenson and Chuck (Sandy) Moore. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers - Bob & Gene and her sister - Pat
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8th, from 9 AM until the time of the service at Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM, with Deacon Bob Precourt, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, WI.
The family would like to thank the staff of Rosemore for their special tenderness and unconditional love shown to our mother and dad throughout the past six months.
