So sorry to hear of Al's passing. He always made my day with his smile and when he told me his day was just made better when he would come thru my cashier lane at Fleet Farm. RIP Al......................

Goodbye to a good friend and Jaycee Member. Thanks for the years of stories and for what you did for the Waupaca Community as a Jaycee Member.

"Goodbye Al, our beloved story teller and bartender at Oakwood. You could always tell us the latest Polish joke. You were very generous, always ready to take my brother Father Charlie on another fishing adventure. (Maybe that's the only reason Charlie visited me.) They'll be looking forward to your stories in Heaven. Our condolences to Val and your children."

A better friend has never lived. Nor a better story teller.

So sorry to hear about Al. Still remember the good old days at the Oakwood, and bartending with him. We had a lot of fun and hard work. All his jokes we heard every night, but loved them anyway! Thanks for the memories Al, RIP. Also thinking of you Val, take care! Dean and Nancy Jensen
How could we ever forget Al and his jokes! He was a phenomenal story teller and his comedy accents made them so much fun for the listeners. The last time I saw him was a couple months ago in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot. I insisted he tell me a story and he graciously obliged. So I'd heard that story before but it didn't matter because I enjoyed listening all over again, no different from hearing a song for a second or third time. When something is done well it's worth repeating.
Rest in peace Al, and keep 'em laughing up there.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss him, his jokes and the smile he always had for me.

Val & family;
So very sorry to read of Al's passing.
Al was not only a very friendly, decent guy, very helpful and generous of his time with Nomads fund raisers, but you could always count on Al to provide another joke. He was terrific at always having and telling jokes. Always a smile and laugh with Al.
He will be missed very fondly.
