Allan "Dewey" Lunde's Obituary
Allan "Dewey" Lunde, age 94, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Bethany Home under the care of Southern Care Hospice. Allan was born in Shelly, MN on May 20, 1921, the son of the late Edwin and Clara (Stola) Lunde. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for 35 years at Wisconsin Telephone Co. retiring in 1982. He was a member of the AT&T Pioneers, lifetime member of the VFW Post #1037 of Waupaca and Trinity Lutheran Church. Allan loved bowling, gardening, drawing & carving and especially camping with his family. In 2010, Allan was on the Honor Flight to Washington. He is survived by his son: David (Signe) Lunde, Waupaca; his grandsons: Brian Lunde, Waupaca and Kevin (Michelle) Lunde, Waupaca; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; his brother & sister in laws: Francis (Connie) Denig, Kenosha and Agnes Stone, Wickenburge, AZ and 3 nephews. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Betty, his 2nd wife, Anna and two brothers & sisters in law, Baldwin Curtiss (Jeanette) Lunde & Roger (Angie) Lunde. The Memorial Service will be on Friday, May 13 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Bryan Robertson, officiating. Military Graveside Services will follow in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church.
