Allen Clifford Verette, age 83, was born on June 20, 1929, and born to eternal life on January 29, 2013. Allen married the love of his life, Ruth Elizabeth (Neihoff) Verette on Nov. 16, 1948. Together they had six children: Clifford Verette, Lynn (Bob) Stranberg, Liz (Tom) Moravetz, Laurie Zernzach, Jay (Ok) Verette, and Tim (Cheryl) Verette. Grandchildren include Allen Verette, Amy Jo Black, Joshua Compton, Stacy (Paul) Smith, Jeremy (Sarah) Compton, Jennifer Verette, Brittany Vincent, Jason (Melanie) Verette, Jessie Compton (Mack), John Moravetz (Laura), Tommy Moravetz, and great grandchildren: Taylor and Lexi Verette, Navin Black, Evan Compton, Izzy and Jake Vincent, and Kourtney Verette. He is further survived by a brother: Dale (Jean) Verette, and a sister: Sharon (Jim) Gorski, as well as other family and friends. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, his second wife: Clara (Haka) Verette, and a grandson: Robert Verette.
A memorial service followed by military honors will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wautoma, WI on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10:30 – 11:00 AM at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
