Alma R. Fitzpatrick's Obituary
Alma Ray Fitzpatrick age 79 of Iola, WI, passed away on Monday June 17, 2024. Alma was born on August 1, 1944 the daughter of Aubrey and Dolores (Severson) Ray. Alma grew up in the carnival business for many years. Her parents owned a restaurant in Iola where she worked, and she also worked at a convenience store in Florida as a manager for many years in the winters until she decided to move back to Wisconsin for the rest of her life. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family members. She loved to go dancing when she was able to until the last few years when she wasn’t capable. She loved to visit her family members at the carnival when she could. She grew up in Richland Center, WI and Iola, WI. She attended school in Iola and graduated from there. She was the kind of person that would give her shirt right off her back and not think twice about it. She loved to take trips to Michigan to visit her daughter Connie and Connie’s children and also enjoyed visiting Richland Center to spend time with family on dad’s side. She did not live to far from her daughter Flonnie, so she enjoyed the time they got to spend together like playing card games and aggravation, which is a marble game she loved to play not only with Flonnie but also her son Jared and daughter Connie. Jared would come and spend time with her at the farm with his family and Alma enjoyed that. Alma always enjoyed when her cousin Jamie would come visit or sometimes even a simple phone conversation. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and now she is in a better place, with no more pain.
Alma is survived by her children Connie (Eugene) Brown of Newaygo, MI, Flonnie (David) Pliska of Waupaca, WI and Jared (Caitlyn Acton) Renderman of Bessemer, MI; her adopted daughter Heidi Lake of Eagle, WI; her step son Eddie Perrin; her grandchildren Brenda (Kurt) Lockwood of Kent City, MI, Sandra (Cory) Halbrooks of Clarksville, TN, Jessica (Dillon) Kunz of Oshkosh, WI, Amanda Brown of Holland, MI, Missy (Nate) Krause of Waupaca, WI, Matthew Pliska of Waupaca, WI, Eugene Pliska of Waupaca, WI, Cole Pliska of Waupaca, WI, Oaklynn Renderman of Bessemer, MI and Cloe Renderman of Bessemer, MI; eleven great grandchildren; her brother Charlie Ray of Iola, WI; her special friends Ron Heartlee, Darrell Ringhand and Dwight (Carol) Ringhand, many other family and friends.
