Alma E. Walbruck
Waupaca, WI Age 94 - passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at her residence in Waupaca. She was born on March 30, 1918 in Newald, WI, the daughter of Albert and Clara (Majors) Schmidt, Sr. She married Edwin A. Walbruck on November 14, 1942 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Baldwin’s Mill. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1999. Alma is survived by her daughter; Joyce Haase of Waupaca, a grandson; Maxlee Haase of Menasha, a great granddaughter; Malorie DeLeon of Appleton, a brother; Arthur Schmidt of Weyauwega, a brother-in-law; Harold (Beverly) Walbruck of Weyauwega, and a half brother-in-law; Arnold (Carol) Dittman of Berlin. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law; Robert Haase, her parents, brothers; Henry Schmidt and Albert Schmidt, Jr, and sisters; Ella Hallada, Anna Rabas, and Clara Walbruck. Alma had been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church – Baldwin’s Mill since 1945. She enjoyed sewing her own clothes and crocheting. She also enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing cards, and fishing. Alma also loved listening to music, especially Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers. She also enjoyed making music, playing the accordion and slide guitar. A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church - Baldwin’s Mill on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Roger Nielsen, officiating. Interment will be in the Baldwin’s Mill Cemetery, Twp. of Royalton, Waupaca County, WI. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
