Amy Delsrude's Obituary
AMY L. DELSRUDE
WAUTOMA, WISCONSIN Age 92, passed away surrounded by her loving daughters on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Heartland House in Wautoma, WI. Amy was born September 5, 1920 in Eleva, WI; daughter of Henry and Amanda (Fosse) Kjentvet. She went on to graduate from Eau Claire State Teacher’s College (UW-Eau Claire), where she had fond memories of attending the World’s Fair in NYC and having tea with the first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, with the Glee Club. She went on to teaching positions, including Janesville, WI, where she met the “tall Norwegian” that would become her husband. Amy married Arnold Delsrude on August 10, 1947 in Eleva and they shared 49 years of marriage before his passing on June 10, 1997. The family found their way to Wautoma where Amy returned to teaching, after their family had grown to include their four children. She took on the Waushara Co. Special Education class that within two years was moved to Wild Rose, where she continued until her retirement in 1981. Amy also loved teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Hope Lutheran Church and singing in the church choir. She loved spending time with family and friends or anyone with whom she crossed paths. Amy always had a smile for all and usually a good laugh. Her faith was her strength and joy, and her lipstick was her courage! We love you Mom, Grandma, and GG, and know you are forever with us. Amy is survived by:
