Poy Sippi, WI Age 53 - died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at her residence with her loving family at her side. She was born on May 3, 1955 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Russell and Gertrude (Albert) Griswold. She married Joseph F. Nicholas on April 28, 1976 in Chicago, IL. Amy is survived by her husband; Joseph, daughter; Jody (Robert) Hildebrandt of Oshkosh, son; Joseph (Heather) Nicholas of Waupun, step-daughters; Anna (Randy) Monroe of Neenah, Roberta Nicholas of Berlin, Mary Nicholas of Tucson, AZ, and Jennifer Nicholas of San Diego, CA, grandson; Robert J. Hildebrandt, step-granddaughter; Stephanie Nicholas, step-great grandson; Trent Schermetzler, sisters; Judith Fowler of Appleton, and Marcia (James) Reinhardt of Greenville, brother; Gary (Jackie) Griswold of Waupaca, half-brother; Russell Griswold of Milwaukee, and half-sister; Lenora (James) Cherney of Oakwood, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Carl Griswold, and a sister; Eileen Boe Amy had been employed as a seamstress with the Ripon Athletic Company for 20 years. She had dedicated her life to taking care of her family, and she loved spoiling her grandson. A memorial service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi, WI on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM, with Father Joseph Mattern, officiating. Interment will be in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Berlin, WI. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in the name of Amy L. Nicholas. The Holly Funeral Home of Poy Sippi, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
