Anastasia (Anne) (Nelson) Monroe's Obituary
age 101, of Waupaca, passed away Thursday, May 25th, 2006 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehab. Center. Anne was born in Bessemer, Michigan on November 13, 1904, she was the daughter of the late Ignatz and Anastasia (Bielecki) Kondziela. Anne married Theodore L. Nelson October 3, 1926 in Woodstock, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1943. On October 23, 1954 she married Joe Monroe in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1972. Anne worked as a Practical Nurse at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for 26 years. She is survived by Daughters: Marjorie Sawyer, Waupaca; Donna (Russell) Wiesen, Waupaca; Patricia Fry, Waupaca. 12 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren, and 5 Sisters. She was preceded in death by 3 Brothers, 5 Sisters, 1 Grandson, and 1 Great Granddaughter. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Waupaca, Wisconsin at 11.00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 30th. The Reverend Father John Becker will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery Waupaca, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10-11 A.M. at the church. A memorial fund has been established.
