Andrew (Andy) P. Meiklejohn
Fond du Lac, WI (formerly of Waupaca, WI) Age 62, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Andy was born April 21, 1947 in Beaver Dam, WI, the son of the late Gordon D. and Lucy (Phillips) Meiklejohn. Survivors include a sister Carole (J. Dennis) Connor of West Bend, WI and Peter (Barbara) Meiklejohn of Brookfield, WI. He is further survived by seven nieces and nephews: Cara Connor, Catie (Mike) Joecken, Jamey (Lolyann) Connor, and Megan, Matt, Mallory and Marc Meiklejohn. Andy was a 1966 graduate of New London High School, spent most of his life in Waupaca and had lived in West Bend, Kewaskum, and Fond du Lac for the last 6 years. Andy was a friend to all he met and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He didn't run out of shirts, but his back (lungs) gave out. The family wishes to thank Ron and Arlene Unertl and Gary Holtane of Waupaca, Darrell Hill and Renee Hartman and other employees of Lifeline for their friendship and dedication to Andy over the years. A special thank you to the amazing doctors and staff of the ICU at St. Agnes for the best care that he could possibly have had. A celebration of Andy's life will be held at Clear Water Harbor in Waupaca on August 15th from 11am until 1pm. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting with the arrangements.
