Andrew C. Peterson's Obituary
Andrew Charles Peterson, age 52, of Amherst, Wisconsin passed away on March 30, 2024. He was born on November 19, 1971 in Brenham, Texas, the son of Terry and Linda (Meisenhelder) Peterson. Andrew grew up in Amherst and graduated from Amherst High School in 1990. He went on to get his associate’s degree from Madison Area Technical School in 1994 and worked at Waupaca Foundry for over 25 years. On January 7, 1995 he married his high school sweetheart, Kristin Oxley. Together they raised their two girls, Kathryn and Grace.
Andrew loved hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed history, woodworking, archery, and tinkering at his workbench. He was gentle, easy going, and could connect with anyone. He loved to joke around and tell stories.
Andrew is survived by his wife Kristin, daughters Kathryn (Nicholas) Hintz and Grace Peterson, father Terry, mother-in-law and father-in-law Polly & Justin Oxley, siblings Amy Peterson and Eric Peterson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Heidi (Oxley) & Dean Rieckmann, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mandy (Oxley) & AJ Koch, nephew Cray Rieckmann, nieces Carson (Shawn Peskie) Rieckmann, Riley Koch, and Megan Koch and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Linda, maternal grandparents Edna & Charles Meisenhelder and paternal grandparents William & Ione Peterson.
A Memorial Service for Andrew will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, Wisconsin. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
