Anita Mielke's Obituary
Anita J. Mielke, age 73, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 at the Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. She was born in Cambria, WI on February 10, 1936, the daughter of Albert and Thelma (Hill) Wegner. Anita married Lawrence Mielke on June 18, 1960. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2003. An ambitious Anita, who lived on the family farm kept busy with vegetable farming, 4-H, and Kiwanis. She taught for 28 years in the Wild Rose School District, retiring in 2000. Anita's passion for teaching continued after retirement when she became a leader for the Springwater 4-H Club. She is survived by Children: Matthew Mielke, Wild Rose, WI; Joan (T. Wade Earle) Mielke-Earle, Pendelton, OR; Daniel Mielke, Wild Rose, WI,and Granddaughter: Elizabeth Mielke, Waupaca, WI. Anita is further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister. A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM on Monday, March 30, 2009 at the Wild Rose United Methodist Church in Wild Rose, with Reverend Yul Kwon and Reverend George Waddell officiating. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday from 1PM until 4PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and on Monday at the church from 4 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Anita's name at the Farmers State Bank in Wild Rose. Anita will live on in our hearts and thoughts, and through her tissue donation.
