Ann L. Frater Verhalen
Stevens Point, WI (Formerly of Wild Rose, WI) Age 55 – died peacefully at her residence in Stevens Point, WI on Friday, July 18, 2008. She was born on February 14, 1953 in Wild Rose, WI, the daughter of Frederick and Virginia (Strom) Frater. Ann is survived by her daughter; Jamie (Stacey) Groshek of Elderon, three grandchildren; Kalei, Dylan, and Braeden Groshek, her parents; Fred and Virginia Frater of Wild Rose, a sister; Roberta Brown of Stevens Point, and two brothers; Fred Jr. (Fritz) Frater, and Jack (Carole) Frater of Wild Rose. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother; David Frater. Ann was a loving grandmother, mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them new and exciting things, including sharing with them her deep appreciation for nature. Her favorite pastime was collecting things. Anyone who knew her knew that she could find beauty and quality in the smallest of things. Ann was an extremely caring and compassionate individual who will be deeply missed by friends and family. Ann had served in the U.S. Army branch of the military. A funeral service will be held at the Dopp Memorial Center near Wild Rose, WI on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 1:00 PM, with Father Paul Vanden Hogen, officiating. Interment will be in the Greenvale (Dopp) Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Dopp Memorial Center on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
