Anna Suski's Obituary
Anna C. Suski, age 89, of Amherst, passed away unexepectedly on Thursday, June 2nd, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. She was born in Amherst, on July 22, 1915, a daughter of the late Onufry and Johanna (Buza) Trzebiatowski. She married Leonard M. Suski on November 14, 1936. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1995. Anna had worked in Chicago until her marriage to Leonard, then worked with him on the family farm until 1945 and then in the tavern business of Model A Bar in Stevens Point, Chubby's Bar in Amherst, and Willie's Bar in Plover until 1972. She was also employed as a nursing assistant at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King from 1967 until her retirement. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, St. James Altar Society, St. Mary's Rosary Society and active in RSVP. She is survived by a Daughter: Jo (Lawrence) Mansavage, Amherst; a Son: Chet Suski, Wausau; 5 Grandchildren; and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Leonard, 2 daughters - Judith Pitt and Theresa Suski, 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 5th, with Father Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Town Stockton, Portage Co. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established her name. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
