ANNE M. POWALISH
WILD ROSE, WISCONSIN
Age 82, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. She was born May 2, 1932 in Chicago, IL; daughter of John and Rose (Rucinski) Prengel. Anne graduated in 1949 from Notre Dame High School for girls. On October 7, 1950, she married Harry M. Powalish in Chicago, IL. They moved to Darien, IL, a Chicago suburb, in 1959, and later retired and moved to Wild Rose in 1979. Anne and Harry were avid travelers. They went to Hawaii, seven countries in Europe, and also several cruises to the Caribbean. Anne loved to dance, enjoyed crafts and gardening, and frequented many church picnics. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Anne is survived by her loving husband: Harry Powalish of Wild Rose, WI; four children: Gary (Cindy) Powalish of Roscoe, IL, Sharon (Joel) Hawkins of West Bend, WI, David (Susan) Powalish of Grafton, WI, and Glen (Linda) Powalish of St. Charles, IL; nine grandchildren: Michael, Christie (Karl), Mark (Amy), Holly (Michael), Tom (Breanne), Robert, Greg, Eric, and Jake; and five great-grandchildren: Vivienne, Jackson, Scarlett, Ella, Nathan, and one great-granddaughter, Audrey, on the way.
A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wautoma, WI. Father David Greskowiak will preside. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma following the mass on Tuesday. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
