Anthony P. Zblewski's Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Zblewski age 85 of Amherst Jct., WI, passed away peacefully on Friday June 5, 2026. at Stevens Point Health Services (SPHS) in Stevens Point, WI. “Thank You” to Aspirus Hospice for all the comfort and care directed at our father, the current staff at SPHS who cared and responded to his every need, and a special “Thank You” to Becky Sparhawk who our father referred to as an “Angel”. She was a person who helped him smile each day and inject value and purpose into his life.
He was born on September 20, 1940, the son of the late Albin and Agnes (Ostrowski) Zblewski. Tony graduated from Amherst High School in 1958 and served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard for 6-years until August of 1964 as a Specialist 4th Class. A time of service which he proudly cherished right up to his time of his death.
He married the late Ramona Loecher on October 1, 1966, in Amherst, WI and were proud parents of three boys – Michael, Matthew, and Mark.
Tony was very much a person of principle and lived his life – each day – from the perspective of consistency. When one peels it all way, at his core, his life and the person who he was right up to his time of death, was quite simple. His daily actions (and decisions made) were always based (and connected in some fashion) on his on-going faith in God and the Catholic church, overall importance of family, work ethic, commitment, and making time to help others.
He was a loving spouse and during times of sickness, these principles were on full display. He was never a person who looked for sympathy from others but rather, he relied on his faith for support and guidance. Tony lived each day by the example Jesus had set forth as he tried to care for his wife. His daily commitment (and actions) throughout was quite remarkable to watch. As a person, nothing really changed. He always had trust in his faith and because of that trust, he was able to navigate each day.
Tony was also a person who had a very generous spirit. Helping less fortunate individuals – without the fanfare, if you will - was extremely important. He was also a person who always tried to see the good in people and look beyond any misgivings.
Tony also had a love for Bob Uecker and the Milwaukee Brewers. Listening on the radio with Bob Uecker doing the play-by-play was something he really looked forward to. A relationship which he cherished for over 50+ years and one which helped to bring a sense of stability and calmness to his life.
Tony survives by his two sons: Michael Zblewski (Jodi), Amherst, WI; Mark Zblewski, Stevens Point, WI and Daughter-In-Law Jennifer Zblewski (late Matthew Zblewski). He has eight grandchildren – Christopher Zblewski (Kaylin), Connor Zblewski (Hannah), Carter Zblewski, Cyle Zblewski, Devon Zblewski, Chad Zblewski, Lindsey Zblewski, Ashley Zblewski, and three great-grandchildren – Lana Zblewski, Baylor Zblewski, and Jayden Zblewski. He also has four siblings – Jim (Nancy) Zblewski, Pat (late Les) Jefrey, Kathy (Mark) Genovese, and Lori (Gerard) Patoka.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Albin on March 25, 1997, Agnes May 16, 1953; stepmother Sadie Behm on December 20 ,2017, his loving wife Ramona Zblewski on February 8, 2015; his son Matthew Zblewski on August 3, 2012, his brother John Zblewski on February 9, 2005, and his sister Rosalind Genereau on January 18, 2021.
