Anton "Tony" J. Bronk's Obituary
Anton “Tony” J. Bronk, age 90 of Amherst, WI passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 in Washington D.C. Tony was born on August 26, 1934; son of the late Peter and Elizabeth Herman. When Tony was six weeks old, Peter and Elizabeth passed away. Tony was adopted by his aunt and uncle, Ray and Anna Bronk.
Tony joined the United States Army on October 23, 1956 and was honorable discharged on August 20, 1958. He was a devoted husband to Patricia (Glisczinski) Bronk, whom he married on September 10, 1960. Together they raised three cherished children. After retirement from Ore-Ida Foods, he became an avid woodworker, which he was given great joy to gift his projects to friends and family. Tony enjoyed traveling and was honored to go on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight last April. He also enjoyed watching and attending Brewers and Packer Games.
Tony is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Bronk of Amherst; children, Ruth (Bob) Bassler of Plover; Susan (Bill) Crawford of Amherst; Brian (Tina) Bronk of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Lindsay (Kevin) Wroblewski of Amherst Jct.; Landon (Dustin Kleppe) Glodowski of Amherst; Tyler Bronk of Stevens Point; Shaina Bronk of Stevens Point; also many other relatives and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his birth parents, Peter and Elizabeth Herman; his adopted parents Ray and Anna Bronk; siblings, Carol (Larry) Piotrowski, Germaine (Lloyd) Lorbeck and Leonard (Freda) Herman.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church – Fancher. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of Mass. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
