Arleigh Schroeder's Obituary
Arleigh R. Schroeder, age 77, of Almond, WI., passed away on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Oshkosh, WI., on January 19, 1933, a son of the late Edward and Florence (Tetzloff) Schroeder. Arleigh married Donna M. Mientke on December 6, 1952 in Oshkosh. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Almond. Arleigh loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, turtling, trapping, snow shoeing, hiking and canoeing. Arleigh was a talented mechanic, welder and inventor. In his younger years he enjoyed taking care of his horse, Poncho. Survivors include his Wife: Donna Schroeder, Almond, WI; Children: Carol Knope, Richfield, WI; Susan (Kevin) Lemke, Almond, WI; Alan (Alison) Schroeder, Plover, WI; Grandchildren: Matthew (Erin) Lemke; Christopher Schroeder; Amanda (John) Ruzicka; Jeffrey Knope; Heather Schroeder; Steven (Jaime) Knope; Marjorie Smith-Schroeder; Great Grandchildren: Chloe & Alexander Schroeder; Paige Lemke & Brooklynn Knope; Sisters & Brothers: Jeanette Davis, Oshkosh, WI; Wilma (Howard) Pekarske, Appleton, WI; Kenneth Schroeder, Almond, WI; Llewelyn (Carrie) Schroeder, Plainfield, WI; Beverly (Lupe) Sanchez, Oshkosh, WI; James (Doreen) Schroeder, West Bend, WI.; sister-in-law: Karen Schroeder, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Arleigh is further survived by many additional relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Twin sons, David and Daniel, a grandson, Timothy Knope and a brother, Richard Schroeder. Memorial Services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Almond on Saturday, September 11th, 2010, with Vicar Brian Roehrborn, officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 1 - 5 PM, with the memorial service to follow. Interment will be held at a later date.
