ARLENE D. STERNBERG
NEW LONDON, WISCONSIN Arlene D. Sternberg (nee: Lueck) of New London, WI was called to eternal life on February 24, 2014 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. She was 94. Her family was lucky enough to be with her at the time of her passing. Arlene was born May 6, 1919 in Hamburg, WI; daughter of Otto and Viola (Beilke) Lueck. She graduated from Wausau High School and Wausau Business College. She married Ormand J. Sternberg in 1940 and they raised their family in the Wausau and New London areas. She was employed by Employers Mutual Insurance of Wausau, Plywood of New London, and Georgia Pacific of New London. Arlene had a wonderful life and spread the joy and fun with all of her favorite cousins. She loved traveling to Coeur d’Alene, ID to visit her sister and her wonderful nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and many friends. Arlene is survived by:

Son: Steven (Shirley) Sternberg of New London, WI
Grandchildren: Anzonetta (Dan Immel) Kubisiak of Menasha, WI
Welcomb Kubisiak of New London, WI
Step-Grandchildren: Nicholas (Tiffany) Lehman of Fremont, WI
Curtis (Hannah) Lehman of DePere, WI
Also survived by two step-great-grandchildren with one on the way, nieces, nephews, favorite cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Viola Lueck; her husband, Ormand Sternberg; a granddaughter, Charis Kubisiak; a son-in-law, George Kubisiak; and a sister, Dionna Wardian. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. A special thank-you to all of the staff at Kindred Hearts in New London, St. Joseph’s in New London, and the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for all of their kindness in caring for our mother.
