As a Commandant who came to King some years after "Butts" had retired, we shared a deep bond... fellow Veterans, fellow Commandants, and fellow National Guard Officers. Perhaps most of all a welcomed member of the Thursday Night group at the Waupaca Country Club. It was there that we discussed so many of the World's problems. Not sure that we ever came up with a solution, but it was fun. To this day, it is fun to say that we were friends. He was truly a great man. Bill Crowley
I worked with Betty on Altar Guild and got to know Arlin there. He was a kind and wonderful man and I always enjoyed talking to him. They were a beautiful couple and you could feel their love for each other. Donna Hansen
