Arno (Arnie) Sattler's Obituary
Arno (Arnie)E. Sattler, 74, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 17, 2007. He was born in Poy Sippi, Wisconsin, to William and Elizabeth Sattler on January 7, 1933. He spent his childhood in Poy Sippi and Berlin. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1951, serving as a Petty Officer and 2nd Class Machinist Mate during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge in 1955. Upon completion of military service, Arnie completed his GED and was immediately offered an apprenticeship at Harnischfeger, Corp. There, he met and married Gail K. Fuller and started his family. He served the company in management positions of increasing responsibility at Harnischfeger and retired in 1991 after 36 years of service. Arnie was a Charter member of Our Lord’s United Methodist Church in New Berlin, Wisconsin, Life Member of V.F.W. Post #9469, Post member of Lafayette Lodge #265 F. and A. M. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and former member of the Scottish Rite Bodies 32nd Degree, Valley of Milwaukee. Arnie is survived by his daughters, Gail (Beth) Koch (Konrad) of Germantown, Wisconsin and Lauren (Laurie) L. Billings (Douglas Burack) of Dallas, Texas; Grandsons Dalton and Landon Burack of Dallas, Texas; Companion and special friend, Phyllis Jenks of Saxeville and her children Kari (Gary) Rodencal of Poy Sippi and David (Patti) Jenks of Stevens Point; Nephews, Gregg Kelley (Linda Grieme) and Doug Kelley (Jan Whitney) both of Minneapolis. Also survived by other relatives and special friends. Arnie was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Sattler, his brother, Lothar Sattler and his sister, Helen Kelley (Herbert). A Graveside Military Funeral Honors Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N2665 County Trunk QQ, King, Wisconsin. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Marshfield Clinic and St. Michael’s at Stevens Point. Memorials may be sent to Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, Wisconsin.
