ARTHUR E. HILL, SR.
WAUPACA, WI Age 82 – died on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was born on January 22, 1924 in Tigerton, WI, a son of the late Ben and Rhoda (Clapps) Hill. He married Dorothy M. DeVorse on August 19, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI. Art is survived by his wife: Dorothy, two daughters: Sandy (Harley) Diggles of Reedsburg, and Diane (Dave) Neelis of Waupaca, three sons: Arthur (Christy) Hill, Jr. of Texas/Wisconsin, Gary (Loretta) Hill of Plainfield, and Lorne (Kate) Hill of Waterford, grandchildren: Roger, Melinda, Anthony, David, Cora, Greg, Andrew, Ryan, Michelle, Trevor, and Cody, and 10 great grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Jane Hull and Kathryn Zieroth, and a brother: David Hill. Art had been a mechanic in the Waupaca area for many years. He had served in the U.S. Army during WW II. A funeral mass was held at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Main Chapel at King, WI on Wednesday, February 8, 2006. Interment was in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
