Aubrey Edwards' Obituary
Aubrey J. Edwards, age 92, of Waupaca, WI passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006 while in the company of family members at Bethany Home. Mr. Edwards was born in Park Falls, WI on March 10, 1914, the son of the late Ward and Muriel (Eaton) Edwards. On Nov. 7, 1936, Aubrey married Eldora Hoppe in Waupaca. Aubrey worked for over 20 years at Wisconsin Veterans Home as a maintenance supervisor. He also farmed , loved gardening and his apple orchard, polka music and dancing, playing cards and woodworking. He is a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Aubrey is survived by his wife: Eldora Edwards of Waupaca; his sons: Gene (Gretchen) Edwards, of Lodi, WI and David (Karen) Edwards of Menasha, WI; five grandchildren: Dr. Julia (John Gorton) Edwards; Scott Edwards; Jeffery (Debra) Edwards; Jill (Lionel) Susini and Todd (Amy) Edwards; Two Step-Grandchildren: Kelly (Diana) Moore and Sheri (Joel) Wiersma; Nine Great Grandchildren: Alice, Justin, Andrew; Elisabeth, Anna, Zach; Halden, Azalea & Sidrah. Also surviving are two brothers: Carroll (Dorothy) Edwards of Palm Harbor, FL and William (Hildene) Edwards of Springfield, Ohio and a sister: Beverly (Owen) Kersten of Clintonville, WI. Aubrey is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harlan & Harold and an infant sister. Christian Funeral Service will be at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 29 with Rev. Jeffrey Holtan, officiating. Interment will be in the Little Creek Cemetery, Manawa. Visitation will be on Sat. morning from 10 to 11:30 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
