Age 56 – died on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Crystal River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waupaca, WI. She was born on February 26, 1958, the daughter of Elmer and Katherine (Anklam) Howe. She married Dennis Durrant on July 5, 1980 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI.
Barbara is survived by her husband Dennis of Weyauwega, her son Christopher Durrant of Waupaca, a brother; Jerry (Lori) Brickey of King, and three sisters-in-law; Sandra Durrant, Leslie Kaquatosh, and Sharon Frasier, all of Clintonville. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister; Patricia Howe.
Barbara was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca for many years. She had worked as a certified nursing assistant in some of the nursing homes in the Weyauwega area.
A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Tews, Pastor – Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Monday from 11:30 am – 1:00 PM. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
