Barbara J. Hubatch's Obituary
Barbara J. Hubatch, Amherst, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 20, 2025 surrounded by family at Northridge Assisted Living.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 16, 1950 to Victor and Lucille Carberry, she is the oldest of nine children. Barb graduated from Hamilton High School in Sussex in 1968.
On June 28, 1969, Barb married the love of her life, Jack Hubatch, and they celebrated over 55 years of marriage, having three wonderful daughters.
Barb was a member of numerous community organizations and clubs, an advocate for disabled children and adults, alike, and most importantly, the backbone of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Hubatch, and their three daughters, Lisa (David) Hubatch, Laurie (Brad) Jakusz, and Leslie Hubatch; six grandchildren Dalton (Keirsten) Nemzoff, Rhyan (Brandon) Nemzoff, Austin (Kassidy) Hubatch, Christian (Becca) Hubatch, Traeton Jakusz, and Caden Jakusz; three great-grandchildren, Vianna, Malina, and Huxley Hubatch; four sisters, Cindy (Greg) Robb, Judy (Jeff) Tetzlaff, Sheila Sauer, Donna (Chuck) Goetsch and three brothers Tim (Sandy) Carberry, Jim (Renee) Carberry, and Joel (Kris) Carberry; and many many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in law, Deborah and Gregg Randall, and brother-in-law Tim Sauer.
A memorial service, officiated by Brian Iverson, will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home, 262 S. Main Street, Amherst. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service and a funeral reception will be at Bootleggers, 3703 County Road Q, Amherst Junction following the service.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Northridge Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for the care they provided Barb as she was ending her journey here on Earth.
