Benjamin John Paul Elgersma's Obituary
Benjamin John Paul Elgersma, age 29, of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, formerly of Waupaca, passed away Tuesday, January 29th, 2008 at his residence. Ben was born in Waupaca, Wisconsin on December 22, 1978; he was the son of Steve and Kathleen (Zoschke) Elgersma. Ben was a 1997 graduate of Waupaca High School and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2002. He worked as a Buyer/Planner of P&A consumables at Harley Davidson Motor Co in Milwaukee. Ben loved people and gave so much to many. Ben contributed his time to serve others including several mission trips and always extended himself to neighbors alike. Ben was dedicated to the virtue of giving. He will always be remembered as a witty, loveable, gentle man that loved his family and friends with the deepest esteem. He is survived by his Parents: Steve & Kathy Elgersma, Scandinavia; Brother: Andrew (Tammy) Elgersma, Menominee, MI; Sister: Erika (Jason) Adkison, Singapore; Grandparents: Annette Zoschke, Waupun; Melvin (Gertrude) Elgersma, Lakeland, Florida; Ruth Cuff-Elgersma, Beaver Dam; Nephew: Kai Adkison. Ben is also survived by Aunts and Uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. His grandfather Paul Zoschke, his Aunt Mary Agnew and his Uncle Jim Elgersma, preceded Ben in death. Memorial Service was held at First United Methodist Church in Waupaca at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 2nd, with Reverends Cathy J.N. Weigand and Mike Weigand officiating. Memorial Visitation was held Saturday 10-11 A.M. at First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be given to juvenile diabetes research.
