Bernardine D. Dickinson's Obituary
Bernardine D. Dickinson, age 98, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at her residence. Bernardine was born in Loyal, WI on July 3, 1911, the daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Kraiser) Schmitz. On September 2, 1933, Bernardine married Harold R. Dickinson in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1998. Bernardine and Harold owned and operated the Apple Valley Orchard for many years. She was a member of the Badger Ladies Aide and the Barton Homemakers. Bernardine was the oldest living member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter: Nancy H. Thompson, Waupaca, WI; her daughter-In-law: Loreli Dickinson, Oconto, WI; her eight grandchildren: Terry (Kent) Harrington, Waupaca, WI; Diane Dickinson, Stevens Point, WI; William (Anita) Thompson, Amherst, WI; Melissa Thompson(Ryan Biemann), Iola, WI; Rebecca Thompson(Matt O'Keefe), Stevens Point, WI; Elizabeth (Kyle) Krogwold, Amherst, WI; David (Patricia) Dickinson, Middleton, WI; Melinda (Timothy) Frank, Green Bay, WI; her grandson-in-law: Dennis King, Amherst, WI; Fourteen Great Grandchildren and Seven Great-Great Grandchildren. Bernardine was also preceded in death by her two sons - Thomas & Robert Dickinson, a granddaughter - Susan King, a brother, Mendard (Bud) Schmitz and a sister, Dorothy Montgomery. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 12 Noon at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca with Father Brian Belongia, officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 4 to 7 PM at Holly Funeral Home and on Monday morning from 11 AM until the time of mass at the church.
