I can recall Uncle Bert in my early years. Our family (Norb) would go to Grandpa and Grandma's Farm where Uncle Bert was living at that time. He was so nice and generous to me that it left quite an impression. We use to haul hay when I was in High School. He'd pick me up in front of the Supper Club and off we went. He's the hardest working man I've ever met. So kind, at least to me. I screwed up some on the farm but he never scolded me. RIP
Dana and family: It is never easy to lose a beloved parent. Your dad sounds like a wonderful and inspirational man. The obituary crafted a beautiful picture of a life well lived. I know you will hold tight to very many fond memories. May your grief give way to peace and smiles. Fondly, Pixie
Bert took me up in his plane around 1970 to take aerial photos of a rock festival in Iola. That was a special memory for me.
