I wanted to add to my mom's obituary that she was so accomplished as a woman of her times. I, unfortunately, was not thinking clearly when composing. When she left the Navy, she went into civil service, starting at the bottom in data entry. She retired as a Navy comptroller at Corey Station, FL. She persevered, in a man's world, to obtain that position. As a woman, it inspired me. And yes, she was not only an avid bridge player but an accomplished one. She certainly enjoyed competitive games, which rubbed off on all of us children. She will be missed. - Sarah
