Betty Clara Hafemann, age 90, of Iola, passed away on Wednesday, August 12th, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. She was born in Racine on February 25, 1925 to LeRoy C. "Chip" and Clara (Jacoby) Chapek. She grew up on H Read Obituary
Betty was a treasured neighbor and friend. My children just adored her. She will be fondly remembered by all of my kids for the yummy treats she always had on hand every time they stopped by to see if she needed help. All of us will miss Betty but we are so grateful we had the opportunity to know her.
Myself and another girl use to cut Betty's hair. I enjoyed talking with her. She was always so nice and positive about things. She never let things get her down. I always had a smile on my face after she left. I'm going to miss your! I'm sorry for your loss!

I have been honored to work with Betty for 15 years on the Iola Library Board. She rarely missed a meeting, always had a smile on her face and took her job as secretary seriously. She will be missed by many.
