Betty L. Doubek's Obituary
Betty L. Doubek, age 83, of Wild Rose, WI, was called home to heaven on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Betty was born in Watertown, WI on July 22, 1924, the daughter of the late Edward and Lucille (White) Polzin. On Jan. 19, 1946, Betty married Ralph Doubek in Milwaukee. Ralph and Betty moved to Wild Rose in 1960 where Ralph and Betty helped co-found Shelmet Precision. Betty was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, the Ladies Evening Guild at church, the Wild Rose Hospital Axillary and the Wild Rose Homemakers. She loved flower gardening, bird watching and spending time with her family. Betty is survived by her son: John (Jean) Doubek of Wild Rose; her grandson: Kenneth Doubek of Wild Rose and great granddaughter, Erica Doubek; her granddaughter: Kimberly (Dan) Royston of Wautoma and great granddaughter, Lorelei Mueller. Two special nieces also survive: Eileen (Dayton) Burkholder of Rapid City, S.Dakota and Diane (Kerry) Fritsch of Arvada, CO. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph on October 19, 2003. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 1 PM on Friday, May 9, at Peace Lutheran Church, 335 W. Prairie St. Wautoma, WI with Reverend Tom Klusmeyer, officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Wild Rose. Visitation will be on Friday from 11 AM until the time of services at the church. A memorial has been established in Betty's name.
