Betty Mattice's Obituary
Betty Mattice, age 74, of Wild Rose, WI passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 surrounded by her family at her residence. Betty was born in Neshkoro, WI on June 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Guy and Nina (Henke) Cook. On March 24, 1956 Betty married Alfred (Al) Mattice in Sturgeon Bay and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2008. Betty worked in food service for many years and was a fantastic homemaker. She is a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Wild Rose. Betty is survived by her sons: Gail (Trudy) Mattice, Wautoma and David (Barbara) Mattice, Viroqua; her grandchildren: Tyler (Anne) Mattice; Travis Mattice; Jennifer (Mark) Kuhn; Eric & Aaron Mattice; her great grandchildren: Gabriel & Noah Kuhn; a brother: Guy Cook Jr., Neshkoro and a sister: Judy Hopp, Neshkoro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, two sisters, Carol Marshall and Nancy Good, a brother, Robert (Butch) Cook and several brothers and sisters in law. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be on Sunday, August 15 at 3 PM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Wild Rose with Reverend Dale Bahls, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Wild Rose Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Betty's name. Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements. Betty was very devoted to her church and family. She will be dearly missed.
