Beulah was born on November 5th, 1924, on the family farm, in Mt. Morris, WI. She graduated from Wild Rose High School and went on to become a Cadet Student Nurse at Mercy Hospital, in Oshkosh. In early 1945, while a student nurse, Beulah met her future husband Arnie, a patient at the hospital. On August 30th, 1947 she married Arnie, continuing to live in Oshkosh, and raised their 3 sons. She worked as a visiting nurse for many years and then as the NOC Nurse at Evergreen Manor until her retirement from nursing in the mid-sixties. In 1986 Beulah and Arnie built their dream home in Mt. Morris. She loved travelling throughout the United States, Norway, Wales, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Japan. Through the years she was active in the Presbyterian churches in Oshkosh and Wild Rose, and finally at the Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran church, where she assisted in researching and compiling historical documents and photos for it’s 150th Anniversary. For more than 55 years, she loved playing sheepshead with “The Card Club”; four couples of great friends that met monthly. After Arnie’s passing, Beulah resided at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose, then with son Dave in Necedah, and in Wild Rose with Dave and Penelope. She had recently been moved to Bethany Home in Waupaca until her passing.
A Funeral Service for Beulah will be held on Friday, April 25, at Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran Church in Mt. Morris at 1:00 PM. A Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at church. Reverend Amy Penza will be officiating.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their incredible care and compassion during the past year, and to Bethany Home for their care of mom during her last days.
