Beverly A. Hayes' Obituary
Mrs. Beverly A. Hayes, age 79, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, June 9th, 2007 at Riverside Medical Center. Bev was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 14, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Eleanor (Thelen) Piette. On Nov 24, 1956, she married Dr. Frank T. Hayes at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bayview, Wisconsin. Bev was a dedicated wife and mother and loved being surrounded by her many children, grandchildren, and pets. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community for over four decades, where she sang in the choir and served on many committees. She enjoyed traveling the world, camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and was an avid outdoorswoman. Bev enjoyed playing cards of all kinds with friends and family. She regularly volunteered with the Waupaca Red Cross Blood Drive. Bev worked as a Registered Nurse and Surgical Supervising Nurse in Milwaukee, Texas, Hawaii and at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. Bev and husband Frank wintered in Gulf Shores for many years, where she loved being near the ocean. Bev truly enjoyed the serenity of their home on Mirror Lake. She is survived by Husband: Dr. Frank T. Hayes, Waupaca; Children: Mary (Tom) Devine, Little Rock, Arkansas; Christina (Jerry) Smith, Bayside; Susan (Tim) Algiers, Hartford; Jane (Mike) Heinks, New Brighton, MN; Catherine (David) Ames, De Pere; Thomas (Mary) Hayes, Alma Center; Jim (Gretchen) Hayes, De Pere; Jeff Hayes, Black Creek; Brothers: Greg (Pat) Piette, Waukesha; Ron (Elenore) Piette, Brookfield; Cyril (Barbara) Piette, New Berlin; Harvey (Lynn) Piette, Germantown. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren. Bev was preceded in death by granddaughter: Angel Hayes, sister: Charlotte Blonde and brother: Vernon Piette. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community, Waupaca, Wisconsin at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 12th, with Father Brian Belongia officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery Waupaca, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Monday 4-8 P.M. at Holly Funeral Home-Waupaca and Tuesday 10-11 A.M. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community. A prayer service will be held Monday at 7:30 P.M at Holly Funeral Home. A.J. Holly & Sons LTD
